Learn About Certificates

Welcome to our guide on Mozeditor Certificates, another new innovation for the World Wide Web to help identify the suitability of web site content.
While many parts of the web industry are either cutting back in content, or expanding services. There is an essential and fundamental issue of getting their houses in order however, when it comes to responsibility of publishing and broadcasting. But apparently this is not the case and I quote one leading search engine provider; they said....

"Regrettably we have no control over the Search Engine results content that we generate".

It sounds alarming and it is for users and genuine deserving web site owners. In effect, if you see spam

from search engine results, the using of your business name, passing off, theft of your identity, obscene content, the abuse of minors. Apparently it does not matter!!!!

We Care and It Does Matter

As a Senior WWW Developer spam and abuse has gravely concerned me for a number of years. The web prior to 1998, was still in the stage of innocents and in the true spirit of the web an educational vehicle for academics and students. But after that period, the problems of abuse and spam, just compounded by the day. Fortunately, like a number other mavericks, I love and care about the web and can do something about the problem.

As a developer and parent I can sleep at night with a clear concious, as for ourselves at Riverside Networks we are doing something about the problem.

Abuse and theft is a problem, it is a serious problem and every business or organization that chooses to ignore the problem is just as culpable as the offenders themselves. There is no justification or excuse at all, the technology and manpower exists to address the problem and I have freely offered the architecture in RDF.

Eventually, and hopefully, in the next two years, you will see a broadcasting standard and a code of ethics introduced. But in the meantime, we have just got on with it at Riverside Networks regarding our next generation of web content delivery systems.

The Certificates Name

The certificates are called 'Mozeditor Certificates' as they are part of a bigger plan to outlaw spam and abuse. The Mozilla Editor Project and creation is my own. I am the Project Owner of Mozilla Editor that is being developed by myself and will eventually be hosted on the Mozilla Development Foundation web site here http://mozeditor.mozdev.org .

Certificates Identity

Please find below each certificate identity, with a clear concise explanation as to why and how the content has been certified and awarded. The standards have been introduced by ourselves based on years of experience in the Broadcasting and Media Publishing industry.

Every web page we introduce or develop, across the web community, will clearly display an age certificate. On iweb our enhanced next generation web directory and isearch service, web site entries and listings, will also display suitability certificate icons, as part of a public service to parents and users.

Thank you and Safe Surfing!
